DAY AT THE MUSEUM

I think the last time I visited the American Museum of Natural History I was probably in grade school. I remembered the giant blue whale and the dinosaur fossils. This time around I'd have to say that those two exhibits were probably my favorite, though I remember the whale and dinosaur bones appearing much, MUCH, bigger when I was 10. Anyway, Dave and I visited on a Tuesday (better known as the-day-NYC-experienced-an-earthquake) and it was still bustling with children, adults, tourists, summer school groups, etc. After three hours of walking around we were both exhausted but we managed to make it through all of the exhibits. Definitely go with younger children; it was amusing to listen to (eavesdrop on) what the kids found fascinating and it was equally amusing to observe different parenting styles. What is this? A center for ants? (haha)
