Santa Ana, CR at night

On my last night in CR, my brother-in-law and I hung out on the roof to experiment with shutter speed and ISO. I did not bring a tripod (I do not own one, yet) so I had to use a ledge and super steady hands. I have never tried to take pictures at night so this was a great lesson in patience.

The view facing the street and the rest of San Jose (Santa Ana is on a mountain, San Jose is in a valley).

The highway. Tried to catch the tail-end of lightning (explains the lighter bluish tinge). Fail.

The view of downtown Santa Ana

One Response so far.

Fail? The pictures came out clear despite the ridiculously slow shutter speed. Professional?
